ACLS: Seven Easy Pieces (New Provider) Upcoming Courses

Designed for: Those healthcare providers who have never taken ACLS or do not use ACLS frequently and would like a slower-paced class. Please review "Which ACLS, PALS, or NRP Course Is Right For Me?"

Description: This class is conducted in 7 separate sessions and includes more review and practice time, including more time for ECG review. Successful completion of the skills and written test is required for certification. Please note the following:

  • Pre-course and during course preparation is required
  • This course expects students have a current Healthcare Provider CPR certification, have reviewed the 2008 ECC/AHA Guidelines, and have reviewed all pre-course materials in their provider manual and CD (i.e. pharmacology, ECG, case scenarios, etc.). See Study Materials below.

Certification: This is a 2-year certification. Successful completion of the skills and written test is required for certification. Cards will be mailed within 30 days of successful completion of the course.

Agenda: 8:00am - 12:00pm each session; must attend all sessions to qualify for written and skills examination. Please be on time as course begins directly at start time. See Study Materials below for the full agenda.

Fees:

CMC Employees = No charge, pre-registration and a $50 deposit is required to confirm registration. CE money can NOT be used for the deposit. The deposit will be held and refunded if cancellation is made at least 5 business days in advance of the course. Deposit will be refunded upon completion of scheduled course. Exceptions will be made for scheduling conflicts/illness, which have been confirmed by employee's unit manager.

Non-CMC employees =$250 Tuition plus Required Books = ACLS Provider Manual =$35 and EKGs Made Easy = $45. Optional (but strongly recommended) ECC Handbook = $15. Total Cost (not including ECC Handbook) = $330. Pre-registration required. Limited spots available. Refund, minus books may be given if cancellation is made within 5 business days of course.
