BLS/CPR: Renewal Healthcare Provider CPR Upcoming Courses

Designed for: Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, dentists, respiratory therapists, athletic trainers, physical therapists and pharmacists (working in an in-patient facility). Review "Which CPR Course Is Right For Me?"

This course is for experienced healthcare providers to renew their Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Successful completion of the skills and written examination is required for certification.

Content: It covers Adult, Child and Infant CPR (including 2-rescuer scenarios and the use of the bag mask with or without an advanced airway), AED, and foreign-body airway obstruction.

Pre-course preparation required (see Study Materials below). This course expects students will come fully prepared with their skills, have reviewed the 2008  ECC/AHA Guidelines and are ready to demonstrate skills with little practice. Additional library materials also available in the Education Resources Department for CMC employees.

Certification: This is a 2-year certification. Successful completion of the skills and written examination is required for certification. Cards will be mailed within 30 days of successful completion of the course.

Agenda: 2 hour course; watch-then-practice format with a skills and written examination. Must attend entire 2 hour class. Please be on time as the course begins directly at start time with skills.

Fees:

CMC Employees = No charge, pre-registration and a $50 deposit is required to confirm registration. CE money can NOT be used for the deposit. The deposit will be held and refunded if cancellation is made at least 5 business days in advance of the course. Deposit will be refunded upon completion of scheduled course. Exceptions will be made for scheduling conflicts/illness, which have been confirmed by employee's unit manager.

Non-CMC employees = $50 (includes book). Limited spots available. Refund, minus book cost, may be given if cancellation is made within 5 business days of course.
