BLS/CPR: Heartsaver CPR/AED for CMC Employees
Designed for: Non-clinical staff employed at Community Medical Center such as patient access services, activities, nutrition, secretaries, accounting, central supply, etc. Review "Which CPR or First Aid Course Is Right For Me?"
Content: This course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages. Successful completion of the skills test is required for certification. No written test. There are no renewal courses for the Heartsaver curriculum.
Certification: This is a 2-year certification. Successful completion of the skills examination is required for certification. Cards will be mailed within 30 days of successful completion of the course.
Agenda: 3 hour course; watch-then-practice format with a skills examination. Must attend entire 3 hour class. Please be on time as the course begins directly at start time.

Fees:
CMC Employees = No charge, pre-registration and a $50 deposit is required to confirm registration. CE money can NOT be used for the deposit. The deposit will be held and refunded if cancellation is made at least 5 business days in advance of the course. Deposit will be refunded upon completion of scheduled course. Exceptions will be made for scheduling conflicts/illness, which have been confirmed by employee's unit manager.
