Birthing Basics: Four Week Class

Location: Rehab Day Room, Community Medical Center

Class Ratio: 12:1

Description: Get ready for baby in this class for first-time or long-time-between expectant parents. Learn about preparing for labor and the stages of labor and delivery, and practice breathing and relaxation exercises that help you throught labor. Pain-relief options, medical interventions, and a tour of the Obstetrics Department are also covered. In addition, information on feeding and welcoming baby into your home is presented.

Fee: $65.00 per couple

An optional breast feeding class is offered with this class the last Thursday of each month from 7:00-9:00 p.m. to be held in the Rehab Dayroom. There is no additional cost for the breastfeeding class.
