MICU

Offering transport from almost any medical facility in the Northwest, the Mobile Intensive care unit at Community Medical Center provides ground transportation services for interfacility transport only. The MICU is staffed by critical care professionals and features the latest in critical care transport vehicles and equipment. The critical care nurses onboard have extensive pediatric experience, and a pediatric nurse is on all pediatric transports.

It costs considerably less to transfer a patient via ground services than air. In certain cases, traveling by ambulance is also safer. There is also the added benefit of allowing the parents to travel with the patient.
