And at the Rehabilitation Institute of Montana, they work together to create individualized programs tailored to meet each patient’s goals and help them achieve a more independent life.


Bill rosen, MD Bill Rosen, M.D. Medical Director, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician Dr. Rosen attended medical school in St. Louis, Mo., then completed his residency at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif. Upon completion of his residency
training, Dr. Rosen moved to Billings, where he practiced at both St. Vincent Healthcare and at Deaconess Billings Clinic for more than 13 years. In January 2006, Dr. Rosen moved to Missoula, where he assumed the position of medical director for the Rehabilitation Institute of Montana. Dr. Rosen’s professional skills are wide-ranging. He has a particular interest in brain injury rehabilitation.
Denise e. Allen, MD Denise E. Allen, M.D., Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician: Dr. Allen is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, receiving her medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and completing her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee. Since 1984, Dr. Allen has cared for a wide variety of patients in Missoula, with an emphasis on stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple trauma and neurological diseases.
Dean e. Ross, MDDean E. Ross, M.D., Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician Dr. Ross graduated medical school at the University of Michigan, then completed his residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Ross has been practicing physical medicine and rehabilitation in Missoula since 1982. Dr. Ross’ professional interests include developmental disabilities, spinal cord injury, amputations and electrodiagnosis.Killeen Nielsen, Msn Nurse Practitioner Killeen Nielsen, FNP, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Nurse Practitioner A BSN graduate of Montana State University, Killeen went on to receive her MSN from Gonzaga University. Killeen has worked as a registered nurse and clinical manager for Community Medical Center's Rehabilitation Program. Her experience as a family nurse practitioner includes rheumatology, family practice and rehabilitation.
