Thank you to all who applied for our 2009 scholarships, and to our scholarship donors. We celebrated our recipients April 21, 2009 and will soon have a link to their names and pictures below.

Our 2010 scholarship applications will be available in January, 2010.

CMC Foundation Healthcare Scholarships:
No matter what shape health care takes in the future, there will always be a need for people who provide skilled and compassionate care. CMC Foundation and our scholarship donors are dedicated to helping the students of today who will be the caring health professionals of tomorrow. Each year we award scholarships of $500-$1000 to Missoula County high school students and Community employees interested in healthcare careers. Since our Healthcare Scholarship program began in 1990, we've awarded more than 400 scholarships for a total of $220,000.

Apply For A Healthcare Scholarship:
Downloadable, printable applications are available online. Print the application for the scholarship you wish to apply for, type in your information, and mail it to the CMC Foundation, 2827 Fort Missoula Rd., Missoula, MT 59804. You can also fill the appropriate information into the spaces next to each question while viewing the document with the Adobe Acrobat reader, and THEN print the application and mail it to us.

In choosing Healthcare scholarship recipients we look at:

academic performance
involvement in well-rounded activities
intention to pursue a career in a medical or healthcare career
personal motivation

Each year we select students with a wide variety of interests and health career goals. Past recipients have pursued education or training in areas such as pharmacy, phlebotomy, recreation therapy, nursing and pre-medicine programs.

Help Us Sponsor Healthcare Scholarships:
These scholarships are awarded to students from throughout Missoula County as well as employees of Community Medical Center. Your sponsorship helps to ensure caring and qualified medical practitioners for our community in the future. You may sponsor a scholarship for a tax-deductible contribution of $500, $750 or $1,000. Gifts of any size are also weclomed to our General Scholarship Fund. An endowed scholarship can be established for $10,000-$25,000 or more, depending on your goal for the award.

In 2009, the CMC Foundation celebrated its 19th year of awarding healthcare scholarships. This year, 18 high school students and nine CMC employees received scholarships. Congratulations to all our recipients!
