Medical Detox
(Coming July 2026)
StepOne Service™
Community Medical Center has partnered with StepOne Service to provide a voluntary inpatient, three-to-five day hospital-based medical detox program to safely manage opioid and alcohol withdrawals. This service is available to adults requiring medical management of withdrawal symptoms.
Community Medical Center’s clinical team approaches alcoholism and substance use disorder as a chronic illness — much like diabetes or heart disease — that requires a medical response as part of holistic care. Around-the-clock medical care is provided by the hospital’s designated physicians and nurses, who monitor each patient and administer protocol-specific medications to reduce the severity of withdrawal symptoms and minimize the associated dangers throughout the first step of the individual’s treatment process.
Medical detox is provided to individuals who are in impending or early stages of acute withdrawal at the time of hospital admission. The goal is to safely medically assist the individual through the withdrawal process and help them navigate the transition to an appropriate level of community-based addiction treatment that can address the underlying causes of their substance use disorder.
