About Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery

When you struggle with weight loss, it can feel overwhelming. Diet noise, not knowing where to start, the amount of weight to lose and the number of options available. Most people become frustrated with struggling to lose weight and keep it off. At Community Medical Center, we are here to help you. We see you as a person with a complex disease in need of treatment and someone deserving of compassion. Take our brief weight loss health assessment to see if bariatric surgery is right for you.

Our society often views obesity as simply a number on a scale. However, being overweight is a medical condition that causes damage to most body systems. Losing weight and managing your weight improves your health, can reduce your risk for lift threatening conditions, help you conceive if you are having trouble getting pregnant and improves your overall quality of life.

Bariatric surgery can assist with related conditions, including:

  • Accelerated aging
  • Acid reflux
  • Back pain
  • Fertility problems
  • Heart disease
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Joint pain
  • Liver disease
  • Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
  • Risk of cognitive impairment
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Reduces cancer risk (endometrial cancer, postmenopausal breast cancer, and cancers of the colon, liver, pancreas, ovary and thyroid.)

This brief online assessment will help determine your candidacy for medical weight management treatment.
