Daisy & BEE Award Nominations
The DAISY and BEE awards recognize exceptional nurses and other healthcare professionals for their compassion and dedication to patient care. The DAISY Award honors nurses who go above and beyond, while the BEE Award recognizes other clinical team members who also contribute significantly to patient care. Both awards are presented in conjunction with each other.
Nominations can be submitted by patients, providers, loved ones and colleagues. Recipients will be chosen by a committee at Community Medical Center and will be honored with the BEE Award throughout the year.
The DAISY Award is a nation-wide program that recognizes nursing excellence. In memory of Patrick, the Barnes family recalled the skillful and compassionate care Patrick received from his nurses during his eight-week hospitalization. They wanted to say “thank you” to nurses everywhere by establishing a recognition program - The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses (The DAISY Award) - to honor the super-human work nurses do every day at the bedside.
About the Daisy Award
DAISY Award recipients are registered nurses who exemplify the nursing values: Extraordinary Compassion, Courage, Integrity, in every situation!
These individuals consistently demonstrate excellence in the delivery of patient care and promotion of their professional nursing practice.
About the BEE Award
Just like a DAISY would not be able to grow without the help of the BEE, our nurses could not do what they do for our patients without the outstanding teamwork of other healthcare professionals.
Community Medical Center proudly recognizes support personnel alongside nurses through a similar honor called the BEE Award (Being Excellent Every Day). Anyone at CMC or any outpatient clinic who supports patient care — such as medical assistants, patient care technicians, reception staff, unit coordinators, housekeepers, nursing assistants or others — can be nominated for the BEE Award.
