Taryn Doyle, a Health Unit Coordinator in the Labor & Delivery Unit, was recently recognized with the BEE Award after being nominated by her coworker, Myrisa, for her outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence.

In her nomination, Myrisa shared, “She keeps our unit organized and is always going above and beyond. She doesn’t stop working her whole shift and is so nice to everyone. She’s a great first face for our visitors. I would vote for her to orient all new staff to this position.”

Taryn exemplifies the high standard of excellence we strive for across our organization. She is kind, patient, dependable, and knowledgeable, consistently demonstrating professionalism and responsibility in every aspect of her role. Her strong work ethic and pride in her work are evident in the care and attention she brings to each task.

Her interactions with patients reflect compassion, respect, and genuine care. Taryn creates a welcoming environment where patients feel acknowledged and supported, while also serving as a strong advocate for both patients and staff.

In addition to her patient-facing role, Taryn plays a vital part in supporting providers and ensuring smooth daily operations within Labor & Delivery. She assists with scheduling, troubleshooting, and proactively addressing concerns related to security, the environment, and IT—helping keep the unit running efficiently and effectively.

Over the past several months, Taryn’s commitment has been exceptional. During a period of staffing shortages, she consistently worked additional hours to support the unit. Once new Health Unit Coordinators were hired, she dedicated more than 200 hours to their orientation, providing thorough training, guidance, and ongoing support to set them up for success.
