March 26, 2026
We are proud to recognize Matthew Llewellyn, CNA, as our latest BEE Award winner. In a short time, Matt has made a meaningful impact on the MedSurg team, quickly earning trust through his efficiency, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to patient safety.
Matt’s knowledge and competence have made him a valuable resource, leading to his role in precepting new CNAs and helping them build confidence and skills. He has gone above and beyond by volunteering in the Outpatient Lab to support staffing needs—helping prevent delays and cancellations for patients needing blood draws. He has also played a key role in training new team members, ensuring they are prepared to work independently.
In addition to his daily contributions, Matt led education on patient scanning and blood draw procedures at the Annual Med/Surg Skills Lab, demonstrating both leadership and dedication to continuous improvement. He takes pride in his unit and is always looking for ways to help the team “work smarter, not harder.”
Known for his reliability, positivity, and respect for colleagues and leadership, Matt consistently steps up wherever needed. His contributions embody what it means to be exceptional every day.
The BEE (Being Exceptional Every day) Award celebrates team members who go above and beyond in supporting our nurses and ensuring every patient and family feels safe, informed, and cared for. As we often say, a DAISY can’t thrive without a BEE—and a BEE can’t thrive without a DAISY. Together, these awards recognize the teamwork that makes outstanding care possible.
Congratulations, Matt, and thank you for all you do!
